Security Officer (Curbside) Sanford Airport Authority – 3.3 Sanford, FL Job Details Full-time $15 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Security Communication skills Entry level Full Job Description The Security Officer – Curbside Monitor is responsible for monitoring all vehicles, passengers, and baggage at the front of both the International and Domestic terminals. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a safe, organized, and customer-friendly environment for travelers arriving at and departing from SFB.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Courteously monitor activity at the curbside areas of both terminals, ensuring vehicles are actively loading or unloading. Promptly and politely request that drivers move their vehicles if they are idle or unattended. Report any noncompliant or uncooperative drivers to the Airport Operations Supervisor on duty. Request vehicle announcements when needed (include vehicle description: color, make, and model). Monitor ground transportation zones to ensure all commercial vehicles are properly attended. Ensure traffic flows efficiently and without unnecessary congestion. Patrol terminal front areas to identify and report any unattended baggage—strictly no exceptions. Maintain a calm, courteous, and professional demeanor in all interactions—”kill ’em with kindness” is the motto.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required Professional appearance and demeanor Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and courteous in fast-paced or stressful situations Must be able to stand and patrol for extended periods Must be able to pass a federal fingerprinting and background check Must have a favorable driving record Previous experience in security, transportation, or public safety is preferred but not required
