Shift Supv Public Safety Description:
RESPONSIBLE FOR
Frontline supervision of all assigned security functions and Public Safety staff. Coordinates all routine and emergency security activities as assigned by policy or management. Enforces all PHC regulations and applicable state and federal laws. Advocates crime prevention and a secure work environment through observation, interaction, and intervention. Responsible for the safe de-escalation of critical events and the use of sound judgment in the engagement with combative or escalating subjects. First responder to all emergency incidents within the assigned facility. Supervise and develop junior officers. #IND789

Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED
High School Diploma or
GED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Four (4) years general security, military or other public safety experience required with two (2) years of experience in a related job where required to actively carry a firearm in the regular course of duty, or an equivalence of training and job experience to support effective demonstration of responsible handling of weapons and use of force.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW
Valid Drivers license & adhere to Piedmont’s Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500 ADDITIONAL
QUALIFICATIONS
Certified Healthcare Security Supervisor (IAHSS) required within one year of hire.
Georgia Peace Officer Standards & Training (P.O.S.T.) certification preferred
Carry non-lethal weapons such as a Taser CEW and/or a baton required
Carry company issued firearm required
Must pass pre-employment psychological screening
Must pass and maintain all training requirements to maintain employment to include certifications in Firearms, Taser, ASP Baton, Mental Health First Aid, and others as directed. Position Information
