Security Guard 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars 186 Northside Dr SW, Atlanta, GA 30313 SUMMARY The position of security guard consists of protecting property, assets and/or people to include guarding, patrolling, and monitoring premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Answer alarms and investigate disturbances. Contact the police or fire department in case of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons. Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property. Conduct regular parking lot patrols and inspections. Assist with breakfast on the A.M shift. Assist with laundry on the evening shift. Assist front desk with guest request. Maintain accurate and detailed incident reports relating to security-related incidents, thefts, accidents, or any unauthorized activities. Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines Performs work in a safe manner to secure the environment and actively encourages others to comply with safety rules and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE

High school diploma. Completion of technical school program or company training program. Minimum of 5 years of experience. Must have a valid Driver’s License. Must have a clean criminal background. Excellent knowledge of security protocols. Ability to react appropriately in stressful situations, and able to assess and evaluate situations effectively. Exceptional interpersonal skills. Advanced verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work alone or as part of a team. Ability to solve problems as they arise. Strong people and customer service skills Attention to detail is a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions; create correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively communicate information individually and in group situations to customers, co-workers, and staff. Good oral and written communication skills.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply reasonable understanding to carry out detailed and involved written or oral instructions, or in diagram form.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Professional and neat appearance. Ability to create an atmosphere which fosters respect and building of personal self esteem. Ability to always work unsupervised. Experience in using a personal computer – Microsoft Suites.
