The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, enforcing rules, and responding to incidents effectively. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in loss prevention and ensuring the safety of all individuals on the property. The schedule will be Monday – Friday 0700-1500 hours. Responsibilities Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security. Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies. Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to detect suspicious activities. Enforce facility rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor. Provide first aid and CPR as necessary during emergencies. Collaborate with law enforcement when required for investigations or incidents. Document all incidents accurately in reports for future reference. Assist in conflict management situations to de-escalate tensions. Participate in training sessions related to loss prevention strategies. Skills First Aid certification is highly desirable. Proficient in conflict management techniques to handle disputes effectively. Experience with surveillance systems, including CCTV operation. Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and practices. Background in law enforcement or military service is a plus. Strong observational skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions quickly.
