Unarmed Gate Guard Coastal Security and Investigations 1421 Sunbury Road, Midway, GA 31320 Job Overview We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors; as well as maintaining complete logs of inbound and outbound trucks. This role requires a proactive approach to security, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. Duties Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure comprehensive coverage of the premises. Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action. Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions. Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential hazards or security breaches. Provide assistance during emergencies, including administering First Aid or CPR when necessary. Collaborate with law enforcement as needed during investigations or incidents. Document all incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports for management review. Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property. Communicate efficiently with management in the warehouse, including announcing visitors and pick ups/deliveries. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in security or law enforcement are preferred. Proven experience in security roles is an advantage; familiarity with conflict management techniques is beneficial. Proven experience in clerical roles is an advantage; familiarity with organization and warehouse paperwork is beneficial. Knowledge of surveillance systems and equipment operation is essential. Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with diverse individuals. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally while making sound decisions quickly. Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable; training may be provided if not already certified.
