Join Our Hospital Public Safety Division Now Recruiting for Armed & Unarmed Officer Roles Are you a current or former Police Officer, Public Safety professional, or Military Veteran looking to bring your skills to a purpose-driven healthcare environment? Our hospitals Public Safety Division is actively hiring Armed and Unarmed Public Safety Officers for both Day and Night Shifts . We invite you to be part of a highly respected, mission-focused team dedicated to protecting the safety and well-being of our patients, staff, and visitors. On-the-Spot Interview Days 1st & 3rd Thursdays Monthly Our first Interview Day will be held on 6/5 from 10a-12p & 2p-4p where qualified candidates will have the opportunity to: Interview on the spot Learn more about the culture, training, and career growth opportunities Walk-ins are welcome , but all candidates must apply online and complete prescreening to secure an interview slot.
What Youll Do:
Respond to emergency situations and serve as the hospitals first line of defense De-escalate crises using sound judgment and tactical communication Conduct safety rounds, enforce policies, and support investigations Provide a visible, reassuring presence for staff, patients, and guests Why Join Us?

Qualifications:
Armed Public Safety Officer Day & Night Shifts
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED
High School Diploma or
GED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Two years of experience in general security, military or other public safety experience where required to actively carry a firearm in the regular course of duty, or an equivalence of training and job experience to support effective demonstration of responsible handling of weapons and use of force.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW
Valid Driver’s license & adhere to Piedmont’s Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500 ADDITIONAL
QUALIFICATIONS
Certified Healthcare Security Officer (IAHSS) required within one year of hire. Georgia Peace Officer Standards & Training (P.O.S.T.) certification preferred Carry non-lethal weapons such as a Taser CEW and/or a baton required Carry company issued firearm required Must pass pre-employment psychological screening Must pass and maintain all training requirements to maintain employment to include certifications in Firearms, Taser, ASP Baton, Mental Health First Aid, and others as directed. Unarmed Public Safety Officer Day & Night Shifts
