SECURITY OFFICER

The Security Officer serves as a safeguard to team members and guests at the Queen Casino. The Officer is to be responsive to the needs of the guests and team members in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

(The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive to this position.) Always remain alert for burglaries, prowlers, vandalism, trespassers, removal of casino property without proper authorization, and any additional suspicious activity.
Assist in transporting money and chips.
Observe, report and take action as directed by the supervisor or above with respect to all suspicious, unusual situations.
Respond to and assist in all emergencies, including but not limited to fires, medical emergencies, and criminal activity.
Answer all calls promptly and professionally.
Respond to all disturbances in order to deescalate the incident.
Must make sound judgment when interacting with Team members and guests.
Interact with guests in a friendly and courteous manner. Be aware of and handle guest opportunities to ensure overall guest satisfaction in accordance with QCE’s Service PACK.
Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and Company policies in an ethical manner and empower and require others to do the same.
Investigate and prepare written reports on incidents/medicals that occur during the shift in a timely manner. Document all incidents and property damage as directed.
Practice teamwork, support fellow Team Members, and create an energized, positive work atmosphere.
Assist other Security Officers as needed.
Assist valet parking attendants in controlling traffic when necessary or parking vehicles.
Maintain a high level of personal integrity.
Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent, required
Must be at least 21 years of age
6 months of security experience, required
Knowledge of Casino Security operations, preferred
Able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written.
Ability to extended hours, weekends, and holidays
Must be able to follow orders and perform under high stress situations
Must be able to obtain and maintain a State Gaming License
Must have a valid driver’s license
