South Claiborne Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70118 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their property. The ideal candidate will possess strong conflict management skills, a background in law enforcement or military service, and the ability to respond effectively to various security situations. Duties Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or other criminal activity. Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure comprehensive monitoring of premises. Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with security protocols. Provide assistance during emergencies, including administering first aid and CPR when necessary. Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies as needed for incident reporting and investigations. Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damage to property. Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and observations. Qualifications Previous experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is preferred. Valid armed security officer certification is required. Knowledge of surveillance techniques and equipment operation (CCTV). Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Excellent observational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
