Essential Job Functions:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Makes scheduled rounds inside buildings, noting security hazards and responding as necessary. Makes scheduled rounds outside of buildings to insure a secure environment for residents, and their property as well as company property. Responds to all fire, security and link to life calls. Keeps log of equipment, gauges and controls, for dry sprinklers and boilers. May be asked to do light maintenance, such as changing light bulbs, touch up painting, etc., as it relates to the safety of the facility. Provides daily reports and suggestions to supervisor of security. Provides protection to late working employees requesting escort to their vehicles. Responsible for shoveling and salting sidewalks as needed. Checks common areas, phones and checks outside doors throughout the facility are secure. Responds immediately to all alarms and emergency situations with the Community Care Provider. Performs CPR and First Responder tasks as required by a situation. Accomplishes additional duties as directed and required by supervisors to provide support and assistance to other personnel further assuring complete resident, property and employee safety.
Qualifications:
One year experience in security preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent. CPR and First Aid Certification required yearly. Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and speak English. Must be prompt, honest and reliable. Must be able to function in a courteous, friendly, helpful and controlled manner in all situations. Must demonstrate the ability to operate an AED machine. Must demonstrate the ability to read HVAC gauges and to record this information. Must demonstrate the ability to understand the functioning of emergency equipment including alarm systems and other emergency communications.
