- Ensure only authorized staff are admitted onto hospital premises.
- Performsproactivemonitoringofandtimelyresponsestopotential/actualsecuritythreats.
- Investigates and manages all security incidents and hazards on the premises.
- Maintains knowledge of and follows policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans.
- Facilitates planned drills and simulations.
- Providesinformationandassistancetopatients, visitors and staff topromotetheirsafetyonthe premises.
- Providesavisibledeterrencetocrimeandprohibitedactivitiesbypatrollingthebuildingsandgroundsofthehospital.
- Writesaccurate,clearandlegibleincidentreportsanddocumentsinvestigatorystepsand results.
- Patrol parking areas to detect any irregularities.
- Able toaccurately,clearlyandlegibly document incidentreports, investigatorystepsand results; Documentation meets current standards and policies.
- Performs other reasonably related job duties as assigned or requested, within scope of practice.
Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED), or equivalent, ispreferred

Experience:
One to three (1-3) years’ experience in the field of law enforcement and/or security management; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
