  • Ensure only authorized staff are admitted onto hospital premises.
  • Performsproactivemonitoringofandtimelyresponsestopotential/actualsecuritythreats.
  • Investigates and manages all security incidents and hazards on the premises.
  • Maintains knowledge of and follows policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans.
  • Facilitates planned drills and simulations.
  • Providesinformationandassistancetopatients, visitors and staff topromotetheirsafetyonthe premises.
  • Providesavisibledeterrencetocrimeandprohibitedactivitiesbypatrollingthebuildingsandgroundsofthehospital.
  • Writesaccurate,clearandlegibleincidentreportsanddocumentsinvestigatorystepsand results.
  • Patrol parking areas to detect any irregularities.
  • Able toaccurately,clearlyandlegibly document incidentreports, investigatorystepsand results; Documentation meets current standards and policies.
  • Performs other reasonably related job duties as assigned or requested, within scope of practice.
Qualifications Education:

High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED), or equivalent, ispreferred

Additional languages preferred.

Experience:

One to three (1-3) years’ experience in the field of law enforcement and/or security management; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
