, Mississippi We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Security Guard to join our team at the MS Welcome Center located off I-20. As a Security Guard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our premises, employees, and visitors. The ideal candidate will exhibit professionalism, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Responsibilities:

Patrol the MS Welcome Center premises on foot, Security Cart, or by other means as provided. Unlock and secure the Welcome Center buildings at the beginning and end of each shift. Maintain possession of keys to the Welcome Center and ensure their safekeeping. Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms to identify and respond to any suspicious activities or security breaches. Interact with visitors in a courteous and helpful manner, providing assistance and directions as needed. Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and security regulations. Report any incidents, accidents, or unusual occurrences to management promptly. Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies and emergency services when necessary. Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, including the Security Cart and uniform.

Requirements:

Must possess a current gun permit or be able to obtain one within 30 days of employment at the candidate’s expense. Clean background with no felony convictions. Must be clean, neat, and maintain a professional appearance. Ability to pass background and security screenings. Physical fitness to perform patrol duties, including standing, walking, sitting, and occasional riding on a Security Cart. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Retirees are welcome to apply. Prior experience in security or law enforcement is preferred but not required; training will be provided to qualified applicants.
