This Position is for a Security Officer (Part-Time) with a work location in Pontotoc, MS.
Part Time Security Officer DescriptionHourly Rate:
$18.84DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY
To provide a safe and secure workplace for employees, vendors and visitors while protecting company assets
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Enforce security policies and regulations related to company operationsMonitor security camera to watch for disruptions or unlawful activitiesPerform hourly rounds of the facility to ensure the premises are secure and employees are safeMonitor incoming and outbound vehicles, personnel and visitorsAssist visitors in a courteous manner while following all established company visitation policies and proceduresRespond to all emergencies and take appropriate action until emergency services arriveCreate and maintain a daily patrol log to document incidents and activitiesPromptly provide management with detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents, accidents, or injuriesEnsure all safety and security rules are strictly observedComplete the Annual CTPAT Security TrainingFocus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgmentWork effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectationsPride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary
REQUIRED
SKILLSMust be a team player, professional, detail-oriented, and honestMust have the ability to:
Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environmentRead, analyze and interpret general business policies, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulationsWrite reports, business correspondence and procedures including detailed incident reportsEffectively present information and respond to questions from employees, vendors, customers and the general publicSolve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existsCommunicate in a clear and concise manner utilizing a 2-way radio or cell phone provided by the companyStand and walk for extended periods of timeLift/push/pull 40 lbs.
Must have:

REQUIRED
EXPERIENCEAt least 5 years of experience providing armed building security
PREFERRED
EXPERIENCEActive or retired law enforcement experience preferred
REQUIRED
EDUCATIONHigh School Diploma or GEDCertified Firearm Safety TrainingCPR certification or ability to obtain CPR certification
