As a Security Professional – Retail Site in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more . As an unarmed patrol officer in a retail or mall environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence for visitors and staff. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, responding to situations as they arise, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. This post requires a valid driver’s license, as driving may be part of your duties. PM Responsibilities:

Provide customer service by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail or mall environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, with working conditions varying based on the site.
Help to deter unwanted activity by maintaining a visible presence and observing for unusual behavior.
Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activity according to site protocols.
Assist visitors, customers, and staff with directions or information as needed while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with AU Driver Policy Requirements.
NC-SP Registration is preferred for this position.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
