As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. This is an armed post, requiring you to maintain a professional presence while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork. You will play a key role in supporting a caring culture that puts people first and always acts with integrity.

AM Responsibilities:

Carry out security procedures and follow site-specific policies while providing customer service to individuals at the government location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergency response activities as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for security-related incidents. Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and provide assistance to staff and visitors as appropriate. Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual observations, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

North Carolina Armed Security Professional License is preferred. North Carolina Security Professional Guard Card is required. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
