This role requires a proactive approach to security, utilizing various skills and techniques to prevent loss and ensure the safety of all individuals on the premises. Duties Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, ensuring appropriate action is taken. Utilize surveillance equipment, including CCTV, to monitor activities and maintain safety protocols. Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential security risks. Implement conflict management strategies when dealing with disruptive individuals or situations. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during incidents or investigations. Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations in a clear and concise manner. Provide assistance in loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or fraud attempts. Skills Strong conflict management skills to effectively handle challenging situations. Knowledge of loss prevention techniques to safeguard assets. Proficiency in operating CCTV systems for surveillance purposes. Military or law enforcement background is preferred for enhanced situational awareness. Possession of relevant certifications in security practices is advantageous. CPR and First Aid certification to provide immediate assistance in emergencies. Ability to remain calm under pressure while making quick decisions in critical situations. Excellent observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential threats.
