Contact our HR department at 904-299-3534 x 2 Pay rates $19/hour This role does not have dedicated hours, but training will be provided on all of our locations to fill openings as needed, along with Special Details / Events as they come along. Summary of Duties Proteus Security Agency is seeking reliable and professional unarmed security personnel to ensure the safety and well-being of guests during special events. This role involves rotating through various posts, including multiple beer stations, seating areas, and the venue’s perimeter. The ideal candidate will maintain a visible presence, monitor crowd behavior, and respond promptly to any safety concerns or incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe and secure environment for all patrons and staff Monitor assigned areas and enforce venue rules and policies Assist with crowd control and manage guest entry/exit De-escalate situations and respond to incidents as needed Collaborate with team members to cover multiple zones effectively If you are vigilant, professional, and enjoy working in a high-energy concert environment, we’d love to have you on our team. • Paid weekly
Basic Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age Already registered with NCPPSB (Unarmed) – preferred Prior experience in security, customer service, or concert settings preferred Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and rotate between posts Strong communication, observation, and conflict-resolution skills Professional demeanor and appearance Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure or fast-paced environments Reliable transportation to and from the venue Must be available to work late-night hours, including weekends and holidays Uniform / Equipment Requirements Smartphone with the ability to download appropriate work-related applications to be used in the field. Navy Blue tactical style pants (black permitted for the first 3 pay weeks). Plain Black in color boots, shoes, or sneakers that are work-appropriate Duty Belt OC Spray Handcuffs (2x) Flashlight Highly sought after skills: First Responder certified (First Aid, CPR, AED trained) or willing to obtain through our academy Any candidate looking to drive an agency vehicle must have a valid driver’s license and will need to provide a copy of their DMV Driving record or consent to a driver’s license check prior to hire. Due to the nature of our work, often outside in the climate and elements, candidate must have unencumbered access to a personal vehicle for their use to retreat to during inclement weather, etc. throughout their shift. Ability to pass a background check Ability to pass a drug screen Preference given to EMT/P certified individuals Preference given to former Law Enforcement Officers Preference given to current/former Military Certifications in any or all of the following: Taser, OC Deployment, handcuffing (must have current certification or be willing to get certified to carry through our training institute)
