As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, providing exceptional customer service, and communicating clearly with staff and visitors. This position may require driving as part of your duties. AM Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards within the location to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site policies.
Support healthcare staff and visitors by providing information and assistance as needed during routine operations and emergency situations.
Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with AU Driver Policy requirements.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
NC Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
