Part-Time Position Summary Ox Security is seeking a highly responsible and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team in the Charlotte/Matthews area. In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding client property, personnel, and visitors by observing and reporting incidents, controlling access, and responding to emergencies with appropriate responses when necessary. Key Responsibilities Monitor and control access to client facilities through the admittance process. Prevent unauthorized entry and protect physical assets from theft, damage, or destruction. Patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle to identify and address safety hazards, security violations, and suspicious activity. Preserve incident scenes and protect evidence in the event of accidents or investigations. Prepare detailed logs and incident reports using clear and professional language. Provide courteous and professional service to all employees, visitors, and clients. Respond to incidents such as fire, medical emergencies, hazardous materials, and severe weather following established protocols.

Minimum Qualifications Age:

Must be at least 21 years old.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of armed security or law enforcement experience, OR 2 years of honorable service in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Licensing & Certification:

Must meet all state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for armed security. Must maintain certification in CPR/AED and First Aid (American Heart Association or Red Cross).

Background:

Must pass background checks, drug screening, and may be subject to physical and behavioral assessments. Core Competencies Strong knowledge of security operations and emergency response procedures. Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal. Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. Proficient in using security equipment, computers, and reporting tools. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High level of integrity and professionalism. Working Conditions Must be able to work in various environmental conditions, including inclement weather. May be required to work overtime or irregular hours with little notice.
