Burgaw, NC Job Details Part-time $15 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Bilingual Spanish Addiction counseling Customer service Intake High school diploma or GED Computer skills Entry level Full Job Description Hiring for Monday through Friday 11am-4pm, other days as needed and available Manage the 24-hour Crisis Line. Document and track all crisis line calls and take appropriate action. Advocates for the mission of Safe Haven and upholds the agency’s values. Delivers services with safety, respect, and effectiveness. Assess client needs and offer assistance in every manner practical. Follow all policies and procedures of Safe Haven. Review Policy & guidelines with clients at the time of entrance. Prepare rooms for clients. Maintain a calm shelter environment; and assist in keeping the shelter clean and free of spills, trash, and safety hazards. Perform daily room checks. Prepare intake packages. Receive and put away donations on your shift. Perform other duties as assigned by the Shelter and Services Director. Provide an immediate and professional response to any security /safety emergency or disturbance within or immediately outside the facility. Complete all agency logs and incident reports in a timely manner. Enter EVERY client contact in Safe Haven’s client database.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. Experience in the Human Services or related field preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Bi-Lingual in Spanish a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work well independently. Must work well under pressure. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Committed to working with victims of domestic violence. Must be flexible. Ability to multi-task. Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the work environment. Computer knowledge. Must possess a high degree of common sense. Must be empathetic and caring.
