You’ll be joining a community-oriented police department operating out of a state-of-the-art public safety complex, featuring modern technology, a professional fitness facility, and a supportive team culture focused on service, safety, and integrity. ________________________________________ What You’ll Do as SRO Build trust and foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families. Provide a visible and reassuring safety presence on school grounds. Assist in maintaining a safe and secure learning environment. Serve as a role model and resource to students, offering mentorship and guidance. Participate in school activities and engage with students informally. Support conflict resolution and promote student accountability. Educate students through classroom presentations on law, safety, and responsible citizenship. Work collaboratively with school administration and faculty on safety planning and response. ________________________________________ Minimum Requirements Certified law enforcement officer (NH or out-of-state) with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Demonstrated commitment to community service and youth engagement. Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to work closely with school leadership and adapt to a school-based environment. ________________________________________
Salary & Compensation Annual Salary:
$67,197.16 to $76,672.56 (Based on experience, with potential for advancement within the salary scale)
Shift Differential:
$0.75 per hour for second shift $1.00 per hour for midnight shift
Additional Stipends:
Annual $200 stipend for up to two certifications: Firearms Instructor, Defensive Tactics Instructor, Baton Instructor, OC Instructor, DRE, Taser Instructor, Evidence Custodian, and Physical Fitness Instructor.
Detail Rate:
$70 per hour
Uniform Allowance:
$1,000 annual uniform allowance
Educational Incentives:
2% for a Bachelor’s Degree 2.5% for a
Master’s Degree Longevity Pay:
Longevity pay beginning at 3 years of service
