Overnight Security Officer 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Salem, NH 03079 Canobie Lake Park is currently looking for individuals to join our security team. As an Overnight Security Officer you will protect assets during the overnight hours (typically 11p-7a) by guarding, patrolling, and monitoring the premises to prevent theft, fire, violence, and other crimes or infractions of rules. Overnight Security Officers are responsible for responding to and investigating alarms, suspicious activity, fire, etc.

Ideal candidates are trustworthy, professional, reliable, responsible, and possess integrity. Candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be detailed oriented. Candidates must work well both as a team and individually, and communicate effectively with other members of the department, management, public safety, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Patrol premises by foot and/or by vehicle to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or fire and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates; Answer alarms and investigate disturbances; Call management and police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons, etc as prescribed; Operate devices as per policy during routine patrol of premises; Write reports of daily activities and incident reports for irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences; Monitor, authorize, and record entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises; Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours; Pick up and put away Security & EMS equipment as needed; Be familiar with, understand and comply with employment guidelines and departmental SOP’s and General Orders; Any other tasks as assigned by management.
