We are seeking a Security Officer to help protect the students, staff, and visitors across our agency locations. As a Security Officer , you’ll play a key role in fostering a safe, secure and welcoming environment for those we serve—from young children to staff and to community members of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure safety of students, staff, and visitors throughout the facility Monitor security cameras and patrol agency buildings and grounds Coordinate and conduct monthly fire drills, lockdowns, and other emergency procedures Control building access and verify credentials of visitors Respond to emergencies and work with local law enforcement and emergency personnel Prepare and maintain logs, incident reports, and visitor records Assist with elevator inspections, package delivery, and general support Lead meetings regarding safety and security at the workplace and school environment. Respond to tenant/internal customer inquiries and maintenance requests promptly and ensure satisfactory resolution. Patrol assigned areas to deter, detect, and report violations of the law and suspicious activities. Participate in agency initiatives, events, and trainings as assigned Availability for evening, weekend and on-call assignments

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Police academy, Fire academy or related field such as Security Supervisor, Security Manager or Retired police officer / firefighter or equivalent combination of education and experience Valid NJ Security Officer Registration Act (SORA)

License Preferred:
