The Safety and Security Advisor willprovide a safe and secure living and working environment forstudents and staff. They will assist in the investigation ofaccidents and incidents with the goal of resolution and reductionof future occurrences. The Safety and Security Advisor will workdirectly with staff and students to ensure that Center policies andprocedures are followed and enforced. For this position a HighSchool Diploma or equivalent is
REQUIRED.
The Safety and SecurityAdvisor MUST posses a valid in State Driver’s License be 21 yearsor older.

Work with staff members to promotepositive student behavior and engagement. Provide mentorship andguidance to students, helping them develop life and career skills.
Work collaboratively with different departments to maintain aproductive and goal-oriented atmosphere.

RESPONSIBILTIES
o Follows all integrity guidelines and proceduresand ensures no manipulation of student data. o Assists Safety &Security Department to maintain a safe and secure Centerenvironment. o Investigates all accidents/incidents under thedirection of management and prepares required reports, recommendingcorrective action. o Conducts routine safety inspections andassessments of all Center equipment and facilities to identifypotential safety and security hazards. o Enforces occupationalsafety and health regulations and standards. o Conducts anddocuments incident and accident investigations per establishedtimelines and requirements. o Conducts routine Center-wide securitytours and assists with monitoring and supervision of students. oResponds to emergency situations and requests. o Responsible forCenter security, visitor control and student accountability. o Mayassist dorm staff in conducting dorm inspections and searches forcontraband. o Maintains the security and cleanliness of Centerfacilities and property. o May provide residential, recreation andtransportation assistance as required. o Produces quality work andcompletes assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner. oMaintains appropriate personal attendance, accountability and workproductivity standards. o Plans, prioritizes and organizesassignments to meet established goals and deadlines. o Understandsand applies job knowledge to effectively complete all required jobresponsibilities. Proactively maintains the skills required toperform job duties. o Mentors, monitors and models the CareerSuccess Standards as required by the PRH. o Provides high-qualitysupervision and management for the student population. Takes swiftand appropriate action and positively influences student behavior.
Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds them accountablefor their actions and behavior. o Provides quality programs andservices for students and ensures that quality is maintained andstudent needs are met. Pursues improvement and enhancement ofprograms and services. o Exchanges ideas and information, bothorally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner andcontributes meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevantideas and knowledge. Provides quality and timely information toDOL/Company when requested. o Effectively articulates thoughts andideas. Identifies problems, analyzes causes and evaluatesappropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions.
Follows up to ensure prompt/appropriate action is taken and thatproblems are in fact corrected. o Works in partnership with stafffrom all Departments to ensure effective supervision and servicesare provided to students. o Accepts direction and supervision fromthe Center Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Manager to includeassignments to temporarily perform job responsibilities of otherdepartments and positions. o Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent
REQUIRED
Advanceddegrees preferred. Prefer Job Corps or related program experience.
Must possess a valid in-State Driver’s License and meet Companyinsurability requirements. Physical requirements include sitting,standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing,carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching.
