Armed Guards maintain order by patrolling premises and monitoring the entrance of people or vehicles in a property. Armed Guards receive additional training to facilitate their duties.

REQUIRED

: Armed Security Guard’s License and License to Carry Permit.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties for an Armed Guard can include:

• Securing exits and windows.
• Identifying and removing trespassers.
• Checking surveillance cameras.
• Submitting surveillance/security reports.
• Contacting law enforcement in case of emergency.
• Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities.
• Maintain network with clients, using excellent customer service.
• Participate in client’s evacuation procedures.
• Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence.
• Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property.
• Provide assistance to people in need
• Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions.
• Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation.

SKILLS:

• Proven experience as security officer or guard
• Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
• Familiarity with report writing
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills
• Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems
• Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense

REQUIREMENTS

• Possess New York Armed Security Guard’s License.
• Possess New York License to Carry Permit.
• Armed Guards must meet specific client needs/standards.
• Expected to be proficient in the use of: radio, ASP Baton, handcuffs, basic medical supplies, taser, pepper spray and duty firearm.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Valid Driver’s License Required.
• High School diploma required
• Reliable Personal Transportation.
