Job Responsibilities Patrols, inspections and investigations require frequent indoor and outdoor routines in all types of weather conditions; foot, vehicle and stationary patrols required; possible exposure to hazardous materials, severe weather conditions and physical confrontations with unstable persons and individuals who are violating laws and regulations.
Relations to other positions:
Works closely with other security officers, student workers, shuttle drivers, resident directors and advisors, maintenance personnel, university administrators, local law enforcement agencies and emergency services. Education /
Experience Education Required:
Associate Degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent experience
Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Experience Prior Law Enforcement experience preferred but not required. Licenses Must have a valid driver’s license with no significant convictions. NYS Security License- All officers must possess a valid NYS Security Guard license. If you are not currently licensed as a NYS Security Guard, Fisher will take care of the expenses associated with obtaining your license.
Competencies / Skills
Must have a valid driver’s license with no significant convictions. Supervision of Employees Assist with supervising student workers/shuttle drivers on shift. Equipment to be Used MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), Desktop Publisher Banner (data warehouse for all functional areas across campus) Fax Printer Copier Telephone Patrol vehicle Lockout tool Jump pack AED Job Type Part-time Work Hours Part time – Approximately 16 hrs. / week.
