The Security Officer is responsible for the surveillance of the premises and the protection of the staff, members, and visitors. A Security Professional detects and prevents any suspicious activity, observes and reports incidents, and provides customer service in a friendly and professional manner. Duties and Responsibilities Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazard, and unusual activity Patrol on foot to check for unsafe conditions, blocked entryways, security violations, mechanical problems, and unauthorized individuals Orally and physically de-escalating individuals, as needed Inspect all security devices and fire control equipment Screen members and visitors to expedite their admittance to the facility Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, or inclement weather with calm urgency May also include customer safety escort Knowledge, Skills and Attributes Must be able to work all shifts Must consistently display a professional and sophisticated presence Must be highly organized with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy Must be self-motivated with high energy level Must be a team player working with all levels of management and staff Must be able and willing to work 10-12 hours and flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment Must possess excellent interpersonal skills Must have basic knowledge of arithmetic Must possess clear thinking ability and sound judgement Must possess ability to remain calm and resolve problems under pressure Must be able to read, write, and understand the English language; bilingual Spanish preferred Must practice excellent personal hygiene and consistently display a professional presence Must be able to exercise confidentiality and discretion

Qualifications Education:

High school diploma or GED required.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years in a luxury environment. Experience in a quality, multi-outlet, high volume restaurant.
