Job Description:

The Campus Security Guards of SUNY Orange provide security for the Newburgh campus of Orange County Community College. Campus Security Guards report to the Associate Director of Security on the Newburgh Campus. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: providing security and protection for special events and activities; maintaining and enforcing order, investigating disturbances or unusual conditions; participating as part of a team in monitoring and executing fire drills; preparing reports.

Special Requirement:

Must possess at time of application (and maintain throughout employment), a current ID card reflecting registration by the State of New York, Division of Licensing Services, as a Security Guard.

Note:

Active duty police officers in New York State are exempt from the Special Requirement. Valid Driver’s license.

Experience Preferred:

Prior security guard or law enforcement experience.

Part-Time CSEA Position, includes holiday and sick pay

Hours:

Hours and days are varied depending on the needs of the College. Up to 19 hours per week.

Compensation :

Starting Salary – $22.8218 per hour
