QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to understand, read, write, and follow verbal instructions in the English language. Must be able to work independently, require minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills. Professional Business Attire

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensures visitors sign in upon entering the facility. Ensures residents and/or family members or responsible party submits a current, valid out on pass document before allowing a resident to leave the building. Make sure no residents eloped out of front door and page cade orange. Maintains all information on residents with potential for elopement – wander guard list, copies of the wander guard assessment, and pictures of residents, when applicable, in the potential for elopement binder. Notifies ambulette and ambulance drivers of resident’s room numbers. Notify the nursing unit when the drivers arrive to bring a resident to an appointment. Checks packages being brought into the facility for contraband. ^ Manage multi-line telephone system Answer and direct all telephone calls to the appropriate person Meet and greet all people entering the Facility Respond to and direct all emergency alarms and emergency codes accordingly Manage paging system Sort incoming US mail and place in an appropriate mailbox Sign for delivery package Look up residents for Family members Put fire alarm on hold when maintenance asks
