This role requires a proactive approach to surveillance, conflict management, and loss prevention. The Security Officer will monitor premises through CCTV, conduct regular patrols, and respond to incidents effectively.

Security Officer Starting Pay:

$18.25/hr Security Officer Responsibilities Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises. Operate surveillance equipment including CCTV to observe activities on-site. Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter theft, vandalism, or other criminal activity. Respond promptly to alarms or emergencies and provide first aid or CPR when necessary. Document incidents and prepare reports on security breaches or unusual occurrences. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during investigations. Enforce company policies regarding safety and security protocols. Manage conflicts effectively while maintaining professionalism in high-pressure situations. Security Officer Qualifications Previous experience in law enforcement or security preferred. Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and conflict management strategies. Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable. Familiarity with surveillance systems and equipment is an asset. Strong observational skills with attention to detail. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations effectively. Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. A militarized background is a plus but not required.
