JOB SUMMARY :

Under the supervision of the Safety and Security Manager, the Security Guard performs a variety of routine security related duties for New Horizon Family Health Services, Inc. Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment of the Center.

DUTIES PERFORMED

: Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, access points and permitting entry. Monitors and controls access to restricted areas. Answer alarms and investigate disturbances. Obtains help by sounding alarms and/or calling 911. Responds to requests for assistance related to safety and security. Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, and restraining trespassers. Controls traffic by directing drivers. Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls. Maintains organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements. Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities, interviewing witnesses, and obtaining signatures. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Travel between NHFHS sites to ensure that standard concepts, practices and procedures for security and safety are being kept. Assists with the completion of bank deposits at all sites on a regular basis. Assists Safety and Security Manager with conducting and recording Fire Drills for each location at least twice yearly.

EDUCATION

REQUIRED

: Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.

PREFERRED

Associates degree or 2 years experience military , police or security

EXPERIENCE

:

REQUIRED

: Minimum of one year experience as a Security Guard or in a related area
