The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their properties. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Armed Security Officer will work closely with law enforcement agencies as needed and ensure compliance with all security protocols. Responsibilities Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, ensuring the safety of personnel and property. Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damage to property. Engage in conflict management techniques to de-escalate potentially volatile situations. Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts. Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary, providing assistance during investigations or emergencies. Maintain proficiency in the use of firearms and adhere to all safety protocols related to armed security duties. Provide first aid and CPR assistance as required in emergency situations. Skills Valid security officer certificate with armed security training preferred. Experience in loss prevention strategies and techniques is advantageous. Excellent conflict management abilities to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively. Certification in CPR and first aid is highly desirable. Strong observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential threats or issues. Ability to remain calm under pressure while making quick decisions in emergency situations.
