Job Description
Part Time – Security Officer – Ole Red Nashville Opry Entertainment Group & Ryman Hospitality Properties (part of Ryman Hospitality Properties) Nashville, TN 37201 Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, clients and employees of Ole Red to include; food and beverage and retail operations. Provide crowd control and enforce company policies while treating all guests, clients and employees with courtesy, dignity and respect. Protect company property. Monitors the safety and security of Ole Red. Performs safety and security duties including protecting property, maintaining order, directing traffic, checking IDs and enforcing policies as outlined in SSTs (including alcohol related policies). Responds to any emergencies (such as medical, fire, weather, etc), assisting guests as necessary, and helping coordinate evacuation procedures. Provides assistance to patrons and employees in need of medical attention, while awaiting the arrival of emergency medical personnel. May be required to administer minor first aid, CPR, and AED. Provides security to artists, dignitaries and other VIPs. Oversees parking areas, ensuring that only authorized vehicles are granted access. Conducts safety inspections. Reports safety hazards (including defective equipment) appropriately. Prepares incident, accident & other reports that may be required at a specific post. Provides on the job training to new security officers. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Experience Background in law enforcement or security with entertainment/ hospitality venue and crowd control experience preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must have excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills Must be able to complete security classroom and on-the-job training Licenses / Certifications Must have valid CPR certification or attain certification within 90 days of start date Must have valid State of Tennessee Unarmed Security License or attain license in accordance with state law Must complete Crowd Management Training Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record This position requires a pre-employment drug screening (4-panel: phencyclidine, cocaine, amphetamines, and opiates).
