Must Have High School Diploma Weekly Pay Training & Uniforms Provided Great Opportunity Allied Universal Services is seeking the position of an Armed Security Shift Supervisor. The primary responsibility is to supervise all security professionals assigned to their respective shift in addition to the day to day activities which occur during their assigned shift. This position will provide coaching, recognition and discipline within approved empowerment range. This position is responsible for the response to and reporting of incidents occurring during their shift, escalating information to the Assistant Account Manager and Account Manager as needed and to the client when directed. This position is responsible for the timely completion of all appropriate reports and forms. Know, adhere to, and enforce standards as listed in the AUS Security Professional Employee Handbook and the AUS Healthcare Standards and Guidelines Manual.
Review site post orders with assigned security professionals.
Administer JSA’s and safety programs annually, outlining site-specific hazards for security professionals on assigned shifts including vehicle / driving safety as appropriate.
Monitor, review and analyze information from materials, events, and the environment to detect or assess security related problems and report and act on each as appropriate.
Work with the Assistant Account Manager to maintain weekly operating schedules.
Ensure all security professionals assigned to the shift complete and appropriately sign logs, sign-in sheets/time sheets and any other documents or forms as directed by management.
Coordinate with the Assistant Account Manager regarding extra coverage requests and vacancies due to officer vacation requests, call-offs, addressing and filling open positions, and unexpected account level issues.
Coordinate with the Trainer on site-specific OJT, client-specific training, and annual refresher training for security personnel
Distribute weekly schedules at a minimum of two weeks in advance, with updates for unexpected openings.
Perform all associated duties, including daily and weekly interaction with the Account Manager, Assistant Account Manager and Trainer.
Submit all call off and lateness forms to the Assistant Account Manager, take appropriate disciplinary actions as required or directed.
Maintain confidentiality of all employee information and data.
Fill in on shifts as needed or required.
Assist in meeting all contractual scheduled hours while maintaining the non-billable and overtime percentage below the acceptable levels.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Be at least 21 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
Communicate staffing needs on shift to Account Manager or Operations Manager
Assure that officers receive appropriate training, developing them in both technical and professional skills
Able to:
Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
Cope well under emergency and stressful situations while making sound decisions and recommendations to physicians, nursing and professional staff relative to issues involving safety and security.
