Halifax Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32118 Job Overview The Extradition Officer plays a crucial role in the enforcement of laws related to the apprehension and transfer of individuals wanted by law enforcement agencies. This position requires a keen understanding of legal procedures, conflict management skills, and the ability to operate under pressure. The Extradition Officer will work closely with various law enforcement agencies to ensure that extradition processes are conducted smoothly and in compliance with legal standards. Duties Coordinate with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to facilitate the extradition of fugitives. Conduct thorough surveillance to locate individuals subject to extradition orders. Manage conflicts that may arise during the apprehension process, ensuring safety for all parties involved. Utilize CCTV and other surveillance technologies to monitor and document activities related to extradition cases. Prepare detailed reports and documentation for each extradition case, ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity while representing law enforcement interests. Provide first aid or CPR as necessary during operations, ensuring the health and safety of all individuals involved. Stay updated on laws and regulations regarding extradition processes and procedures. Experience Candidates for the Extradition Officer position should possess a background in law enforcement or a related field.
Preferred qualifications include:
Experience in conflict management and loss prevention strategies. Certification in first aid and CPR. Familiarity with surveillance techniques and equipment, including CCTV systems. A strong understanding of militarized operations may be beneficial but is not required. Ideal candidates will demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
