Six enterprise offices support the work of the agency’s four program divisions. DCH employees are based in Atlanta, Cordele and across the state. The Georgia Composite Medical Board is the agency that licenses physicians, physician assistants, respiratory care professionals, perfusionists, acupuncturists, orthotists, prosthetists, auricular (ear) detoxification specialists, residency training permits, cosmetic laser practitioners, pain management clinics, and genetic counselors. The Medical Board investigates complaints and disciplines those who violate The Medical Practice Act or other laws governing the professional behavior of its licensees. GCMB is currently seeking qualified applicants for the Compliance Inspector position in the Compliance Division (Atlanta) The Compliance Inspector performs field inspections and investigations to ensure licensee compliance with Georgia laws, rules, and regulations governing the practice of medicine and other healthcare professions licensed by the Georgia Composite Medical Board (GCMB). The Inspector supports the Board’s mission to protect public health and safety through regulatory enforcement and adherence to professional standards.
