The Role The Lead Security Professional must have advanced practicalexperience in criminal investigations and managing all aspects ofphysical security matters. They will monitor security incidents,conduct investigations, serve as a liaison between Lumen and lawenforcement agencies across the country as well as represent Lumenin court proceedings. The Lead Security Professional will conductinitial and recurring training for Lumen employees, processinternal requests on a wide range of security and access issues aswell as investigate and report security violations. They will beresponsible for maintaining associated security paperwork andrecords and effectively work across Lumen Business Units.

Location This is a work from home position anywhere within the US.The MainResponsibilities Maintain daily monitoring of security incidents across theorganization, follow up on cases with employees in the field andwith law enforcement agencies. Conduct in-service training with field operations, mass marketsand other Business Units on how to report security incidents and onthe importance of accuracy and clarity when submitted reports, aswell as best practices to mitigate potential losses. Ensure the safety and security of Lumen field employees whileproviding guidance on crime scene procedures / preservation ofevidence and serve as an in-house subject matter expert on theftand vandalism prevention. Act as Lumen’s representative with industry peers to coordinateon crime prevention strategies and proactively address areas ofconcern with appropriate countermeasures. Maintain and coordinate with video support on utilization anddeployment of Lumen’s camera systems including internet protocoland covert cameras. Maintain and coordinate with Lumen leadership on crime trendsand metrics utilized to prevent future incidents. Effectively coordinate with Legal as well as Legislative andGovernment Affairs on a wide range of matters. Provide regular reporting to senior management on all aspectsof physical security. Coordinate on case progression with SeniorManager of Physical Security while demonstrating contributions tokey metrics and strategic goals.

What We Look For in a Candidate Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of theorganization. Demonstrated experience in conducting investigations withstrong interviewing skills. Ability to effectively liaise with federal, state and local lawenforcement. Minimum of eight to ten years successful experience in lawenforcement conducting violent crime and/or property crimeinvestigations is required. Experience managing people and investigative programs ispreferred.

Education:

A two-year college degree is required, four-year degreepreferred.
