Recovery Specialist•Inpatient (Male-Only Environment)

Tewksbury, MA Contract Duration:
13 Weeks (08/04/2025•11/01/2025)
Shift:
5×8-Hour Days, Saturday-Wednesday, 6:00 AM•3:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure a safe, supportive, and structured environment for clients by continuously monitoring activities within the unit. Conduct 30-minute wellness checks and supervise client interactions to promote accountability and community living. Perform admission-related duties including telephone screenings and searches of client belongings upon admission and discharge. Complete all required documentation, shift reports, and checklists accurately and in accordance with agency protocols. Provide direct emotional support and facilitate access to step-down care, recovery resources, and community-based services. Serve as a role model and positive presence for individuals navigating early recovery.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required Prior experience working with individuals experiencing substance use disorders strongly preferred Valid Massachusetts driver’s license in good standing preferred Must be able to work effectively in a male-only inpatient setting Strong communication, organizational, and observation skills
