TITLE Surveillance Technician
DESCRIPTION WE ARE SEEKING A HIGHLY MOTIVATED MULTI TASKER TO JOIN OUR TEAM AS A SURVEILLANCE TECHNICIAN.
In
ISLAND VIEW CASINO AND
RESORT, the surveillance department, also known as the “eye in the sky,” plays a crucial role in maintaining security and ensuring the integrity of the gaming environment. They use CCTV cameras and other surveillance equipment to monitor casino activities for suspicious or illegal behavior, including cheating, theft, and violations of rules and regulations. Surveillance Technician maintains surveillance system/network which includes, but not limited to installing cameras; pulling and terminating network cabling; ensures proper operation of networked switches, cameras and associated surveillance equipment by using established troubleshooting procedures and conducting preventative maintenance
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
Installs surveillance cameras and associated equipment. Performs preventative maintenance on surveillance equipment. Included, but not limited to, cleaning of cameras, domes and housing, as well as digital surveillance equipment. Pulls above-ceiling cabling for new camera installs as required. Troubleshoots equipment, following established procedures and industry best-practices to maintain proper operation.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or GED required. Must have a valid Driver’s License or State issued ID. Must be able to obtain MS Gaming Permit. Two years’ experience in casino gaming, security, investigations, closed circuit tv monitoring or any related field required. Experience in casino gaming, casino cash operations, closed circuit television, security, loss prevention, or investigations Knowledge of audio and video equipment. Previous electronic and computer repair experience. Knowledge of, or the ability to learn, how the monitor room is cabled and how the surveillance system operates.
