Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, employees, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in loss prevention, surveillance, and conflict management. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining a secure environment while effectively managing any incidents that may arise. Responsibilities Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Operate and maintain surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure comprehensive coverage. Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, taking appropriate action as necessary. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify security risks and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Manage conflicts effectively through de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution strategies. Provide first aid assistance when needed and ensure that all incidents are documented accurately. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required, maintaining professional relationships for effective communication. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes. Qualifications Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and techniques is an asset. Strong understanding of surveillance systems and CCTV operation. Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
