Watch Officer Job Summary Under general supervision, the Watch Officer supports On Call International clients and management by identifying and monitoring geopolitical incidents, developments, and trends that could affect the safety or security of clients or organization staff, travelers, assets and/or operations globally. In this role, the Watch Officer gains exposure to security operations, intelligence, and crisis management. Relying on instructions and pre-established guidelines, this role is responsible for accomplishing the following assignments as guided by others. These assignments are varied in nature. Key Responsibilities Monitor and identify geopolitical developments, incidents, and trends that could affect the safety & security of On Call International and Tokio Marine client interests around the world.
Conduct “spot reporting” on emerging incidents, to support intelligence and travel tracking platform. Additionally, monitor travel tracking platform for any client/exposure to notable events.
Maintain and produce content for Security Risk Portal, such as Country Risk Reports, Monthly Risk Spotlight, Annual Risk Report, and Daily Risk Bulletin.
Support the Global Security Specialist team with assigned tasks, such as research, assessment work, and Incident Briefs.
Support the 24/7 Global Response Center with case management for all urgent security matters, such as kidnap/ransom incidents, global crises, and evacuations.
Initiate tasks and projects in a self-motivated and creative manner; work independently and in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.
Maintain confidentiality of all information and data. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned or required. Competencies Planning

Position Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in International Relations, Criminal Justice, Security, Business, Journalism, Communications, or related discipline preferred. 2+ more years of professional experience preferred. Certifications, Licenses, and Designations Minimum None Experience Years of Experience Area of Experience None Up to two years of relevant and progressive professional experience. Other Research and critical thinking skills for identifying, collecting, synthesizing, and evaluating large amounts of data in order to draw logical and actionable conclusions.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Facility with social media required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
Experience with threat intelligence software is preferred.
Demonstrated familiarity with international security issues.
Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills required.
Strong time management experience required with the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
