GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Responsible for performing maintenance, inspections, and repairs on CH-47 aircraft, ensuring operational readiness and safety. This position plays a critical role in supporting flight operations and requires a strong technical skill set in helicopter systems,ponents, and safety procedures. This position may require up to 25% travel. DUTIES Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on CH-47 aircraft.
Perform troubleshooting and repairs on all aircraft systems.
Perform routine inspections and pre-flight/post-flight inspections in support of flight operations.
Maintain records and maintenance actions in accordance with service guidance.
Use specialized tools and diagnostic equipment in support of maintenance operations.
Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent required
Graduate of a military aircraft repairer school for CH-47 aircraft.
FAA A&P license is preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in aircraft maintenance on rotary wing aircraft.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.
Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands, working at heights with fall protection devices
Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
May be required to lift up to 50 pounds and carry for short distances.
May be required to read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.
Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales.
Must be able tomunicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, APU, etc.
