In this hands-on position, you’ll work directly with high-precision components used in aerospace applications. This is a great opportunity for candidates with strong mechanical backgrounds and attention to detail to join a fast-paced and mission-driven environment. What You’ll Do Perform high-precision assembly of rocket engine components, including valves, turbomachinery, and avionics Conduct hydraulic and pressure testing (Helium, Nitrogen leak checks) Execute structural testing such as hydro proof and environmental test prep Maintain tight tolerance inspections (down to 0.0001in) Ensure strict cleanliness and safety requirements are met (including LOX/GUX compatibility) Disassemble, diagnose, and repair mechanical components Support integration of new tooling, equipment, and processes Write and follow detailed work instructions for fabrication, test, and integration Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide feedback on design and manufacturability Qualifications 4 to 6 years of experience with mechanical assembly in aerospace, aviation, or automotive industries Strong knowledge of precision tools (micrometers, calipers, torque wrenches) Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications (GD&T experience a plus) Familiarity with quality systems such as AS9100 Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work flexible hours including potential weekends and OT Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted as a refugee or asylee Preferred Backgrounds Experience with rocket engines, flight line maintenance, diesel/turbo pump systems, or oil & gas heavy equipment Automotive technicians with blueprint reading and mechanical troubleshooting skills A&P certifications or engineering/technical degree is a strong plus Experience with systems like Windchill, CREO, or other CAD-based modeling tools Why Join Us?
