Job Description

Experienced Aircraft Mechanic –

Avionics Company:

Boeing Aerospace Operations Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced Aircraft Mechanic to assist our KC46 team at Boeing Jacksonville in Jacksonville, Florida. A person in this position does the following; maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures, structural components and engines of complex to extreme difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components, and applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and operation.

Position Responsibilities:

Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment. Solves problems with sophisticated avionics and electrical systems to isolate mechanical, electrical, or avionics faults and repair faulty components. Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components. Performs maintenance on aerial refueling systems Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results). Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements. Works under general direction. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Minimum 5 years of experience working in Avionics/Electrical systems At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able (on potentially short-notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Unless compelling reasons exist, failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation. FAA Airframes and Powerplants License Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 7+ years of Organizational maintenance experience is preferred Previous Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul (MRO) modifications experience is preferred Previous KC46 experience preferred
