Description Description:

Please list by order of priority and, if possible, provide the percentage of time spent on the activity all should equal 100%. Performs inspections, testing, troubleshooting, repair, component removal, component installation, fabrication and modification of hydraulic systems, tires and structural requirements.
Use schematics, drawings, charts and applicable publications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components using manufacturer’s manuals, service bulleting and applicable publications.

  • Performs flight control and landing gear rigging.
  • Repair, replace major aircraft structures such as wings, fuselage, and landing gear systems Education /
Certifications:

One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

  • Must have successfully completed approved course or training as required by Company, State/Local Govt, DOD, regulation/Instruction.
  • Personnel shall be qualified according to their field of expertise and the level of maintenance assigned, i.

e., “O” or “I” level. Must possess or be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Must be a US citizen and completed high school or equivalent.
Will have experience writing with clarity and technical accuracy.

Experience:
  • Aircraft Airframes mechanics shall have three years’ experience in their specific aircraft maintenance occupational field.

The last two years must have been as a practicing licensed FAA airframe and power plants mechanic; in the military; civil service (WG-7-10), or with a government aviation maintenance Contractor.

Skills & Technology Used:
  • Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be customer service oriented and possess the ability to communicate professionally, courteously and respectfully.
  • Basic data entry in computer systems.
