2 nd shift Mon-Thurs 4:00 PM-2:30AM EST (F16 Canopy) Contractor will train on 1st shift and thentransition to 2nd shift and will receive a 6% shift differentialincrease upon change 1 – 2 years of sheet metal assembly/aircraftsheet metal structure experience is required . Previous experienceas an Assembler and/or Aircraft Structures Mechanic is required.

Previous aircraft structure on the F-16, C-130, and F-35 is highlypreferred. Interpersonal skills and ability to interface with alllevels, to work in teams or independently and communicateeffectively with co-workers or supervisory staff. Performs avariety of operations to manufacture, assemble and/or refurbishaircraft parts and structures such as F-16 canopies, F-35 canopies,and C-130 sub-assembly components. Assemblies can requirecontrolled tooling as well as build to print. Tasks includealigning parts on jigs using both templates and fixtures. Performspart-fitting operations such as minor filing, sawing, burring,crimping, trimming, framing, drilling, reaming, riveting,countersinking, and cold working. Measures parts with a variety ofmethods to verify dimensions. May modify incomplete and completeassemblies to incorporate changes and perform repairs. Works fromblueprint diagrams, drawings, specifications, and shop orders.

Monitors and verifies quality and develops corrective action.

Performs other duties as assigned. No relocation assistanceprovided. High School Diploma or equivalent. Mathematical abilityto perform and/or understand the calculations used in assignedareas and ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications,and technical data. Competently uses computers and other systems toaccess, maintain and manipulate data.
