Summary:
In a team environment,install parts, components, and systems according to specifications,ensuring final inspection compliance. May assist in mentoringjunior mechanics. Assemble, install, and adjust aircraft structureparts and system components. Rig control cables, linkages, landinggear, doors, engines, and related parts. Replace system components,cut and fit lines, and perform necessary repairs. Ensureinstallations meet quality, efficiency, and conformity standards.
Install system lines, valves, and ducts to ensure a leak-freesystem. Use tools like permaswage pumps, dies, and wrenches tocomplete component installations. Assist in troubleshooting andbasic repairs. Maintain logs and records and ensure defect-freeinstallations. Check own work and mentor junior mechanics foraccuracy. Maintain a clean work area and comply with safetyregulations. Demonstrate manufacturing competencies and supportcontinuous improvement. May include flight tests duringcertification and final phase testing. Perform other duties asassigned.
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED required. 3years aerospace/aviation or equivalent mechanical experience (e.g.,auto mechanics, heavy equipment). A&P (FAA Airframe andPowerplant) license preferred. Ability to climb ladders, work inconfined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs. Solumina and Smarteamexperience preferred. Ability to read blueprints and schematicdiagrams. Skilled in close tolerance work (e.g., drilling, reaming)and use of special tools. Ability to operate hydraulic mule pumps,fixtures, and jigs. Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
