High School Diploma or GED required. FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate required. Valid Driver’s License required.

Experience Requirements:

4 years of Aviation Maintenance experience, including 3 years of experience working on mid/large-size aircraft. Corporate aircraft experience preferred.

Position Purpose:

Independently perform a variety of aircraft modifications and maintenance functions, such as the removal and installation of airframes , landing gear, engine components, electrical components, and control systems, to ensure compliance with procedures, performance, and test specifications.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:

Perform required periodic maintenance and necessary servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems , demonstrating consistent performance within quoted or standard CMP times. Provide work direction for assigned technicians and promote high standards of quality through instruction and example-setting. Act as Mechanical Team Lead (MTL) in their absence, assuming their duties and responsibilities as assigned. Coordinate with the Inspection department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements. Complete work order sign-offs, shift turnovers, and other paperwork in a timely manner to ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications. Properly identify and securely store customer property and equipment. Follow standard operating procedures and JSAs when operating ground support equipment, such as power supplies, hydraulic rigs, nitrogen filler carts, and oxygen service carts. Operate and supervise the use of specialized equipment for the removal and installation of major components. Coordinate aircraft movement as required. Assist in training new employees on computerized maintenance programs (CMP), maintenance manuals, SRMs, IPC usage, flight test installations, and the maintenance of major components. Coordinate with other departments to arrange the overhaul or repair of customer property as needed.

Additional Functions:

Use the material tracking system to create parts demand and charge labor to correct work orders and item numbers. Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to maintain clean and uncluttered shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas. Properly collect and dispose of waste fuel, oil, hydraulic fluids, de-icing fluids, and solvent rags. Implement Lean/continuous improvement processes in all areas of responsibility. Properly use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment, returning items to designated storage areas after use. Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests as required. Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems within each product line. Advanced knowledge of technical reference materials, including maintenance manuals, IPCs, Service Bulletins, structural repair manuals, engineering drawings, and ADS. Working knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures.
