REQUIRED JOB DUTIES
Seeking an Experienced f F/A-18 Support Equipment Technician to support the
USN F/A-18
program located in NAS JRB New Orleans.
Position Responsibilities:
Assist the Lead Technician as needed in daily accomplishments and tasking
Maintain a limited number of systems by removing, replacing, repairing or upgrading components
Troubleshoot problems to isolate faulty components
Conduct routine functional tests by operating equipment and using appropriate test equipment
Perform a variety of visual inspections as required by equipment maintenance documents
Document maintenance and inspection actions as required
Create and maintain maintenance, calibration and inventory tracking systems
Work under general supervision and with minimal direction
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 3+ years of experience maintaining aircraft Ground Support Equipment
Experience formally or informally leading a team
General automotive servicing experience with an electrical, hydraulic, and internal combustion engine background
Ability to work and support a 24/7 on-call rotation environment
Ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice; as much as 50% of the time. No international travel known at this time.
