This role is critical to minimizing aircraft downtime and ensuring safe, timely return-to-service for grounded aircraft. Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, thrive under pressure, and live near a major airport to allow for rapid deployment. Full hourly rate is paid for both on-site work and travel time.
Qualifications:
Valid A&P License (Airframe and Powerplant). Strong knowledge of general aviation or commercial aircraft systems. Experience in line maintenance or field repair preferred. Must live within close proximity to a major airport for rapid dispatch. Must possess valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently, sometimes with short notice. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environments, including on ramps and in hangars. Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills. Must pass FAA drug screening and background check.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to AOG events and perform troubleshooting, repair, and return-to-service tasks on various aircraft systems. Diagnose and correct mechanical, structural, electrical, or fuel system issues as needed. Use technical manuals and documentation to perform repairs in compliance with FAA and OEM standards. Coordinate with dispatch, customers, and maintenance teams to provide accurate updates and efficient service. Complete maintenance records and reports promptly and accurately. Maintain a professional image and represent the team with the highest standards of safety, reliability, and communication. Work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on aircraft status and customer needs. Sparta Networking is an equal opportunity employer.
