Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead A&P Technician to oversee and participate in the maintenance, inspection, and repair of commercial aircraft—particularly focusing on fuel tank systems . This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone who leads by example, prioritizes safety and quality, and brings deep technical knowledge to every task. The right candidate will guide a small team of technicians, ensuring all work meets FAA regulations and company standards.
Qualifications:
FAA A&P Certification or a minimum of 18 months of verifiable hands-on experience in aircraft fuel tank maintenance and repair In-depth knowledge of aircraft fuel systems and industry-standard repair methods Ability and willingness to work in confined spaces and strictly adhere to all safety protocols Flexible availability to support operations across shifts, including overtime and weekends when required Proven leadership and team-building skills, with strong verbal and written communication
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and participate in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of aircraft systems, including both airframe and powerplant components Perform and oversee advanced fuel system maintenance, including: Leak path analysis and repair Internal fuel leak remediation High-pressure injections Fuel tank structural repairs Detailed inspections and restoration projects Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with efficiency and accuracy Ensure full compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and internal quality and safety standards Interpret and apply technical manuals, service bulletins, engineering documents, and drawings Supervise, train, and support team members to promote a high-performing, safety-driven work environment Maintain clear communication with leadership, team members, and clients regarding project progress and any technical challenges Sparta Networking is an equal opportunity employer.
